CARM posted a new article, Which came first, the chicken or the egg?.  It was a nice start, but I want to add more to it.

The basic premise is the popular philosophical question of whether a chicken came first, or the egg that a chicken hatches from.  Let’s be real here, God made a chicken just as He made every creature of the sea and every winged beast of the air after their own kinds (Genesis 1:21), and every living creature of the Earth according to its kind (Genesis 1:24).  We are given no reason to believe God created a bunch of eggs and fetuses in order to make these creatures appear.  First, that’s completely ridiculous.  A fetus, by definition, would need another organism to support its development; this would not be possible unless an adult of the same kind was already present.  Likewise, an egg has to…
