It seems to be purporting that Constantine, was a christian or something,,…unless, I misunderstood what they were saying of course. which would not surprise me..
p.s Copeland has apparently become a roman catholic,,gone from one deception to another one..
personaly, I think that he was always roman catholic..more Jesuit trickery..?mebbe.??
The movie, “Christianity the Second 1000 Years” is, for the most part, a Catholic production and attempts to substantiate many of it’s dogma and historical rhetoric through it.
Although there are many differences between the Catholics and Protestants; there are also many corresponding attributes of which bind them together. Such as the teaching of the Trinity, the death and resurrection of Christ, His death being an atonement for man’s sin and so on. Thus both, in their similarities and differences, are both considered to be Christendom or of Christian faith.
I like your choice of wording – “purported to be” a Christian when referring to Constantine. According to history there is no solid evidence that Constantine had truly converted to Christianity/Christendom. Catholicism has, over many years, helped to distort this truth as a means of justification that the Holy Roman Empire is the true church…. when in fact the Holy Roman Empire is, and has been, a seat of political and religious power throughout the world for some 1,600 to 1,700 years.
As a seat of both political and religious power the Vatican is factually a nation or City State recognized by almost every other country worldwide.
I believe, from vast study that Constantine was, by all recognition, an opportunist and was responsible for the introduction of pagan beliefs to be introduced in to the Catholic religion itself.
It was through the ambitions of Constantine that brought about the unification of the old Holy Roman Empire and upon that was built the new Rome as a modern nation state. From which many perceive will come the Anti-Christ.
If you are interested in learning more about Constantine and his role in building and unification of the Holy Roman Empire I recommend you clicking on to another of my posts entitled: “Constantine, Christianity, Mithraism and Osiris.” At http://wp.me/p26QNa-2QY
I trust all of this has helped you to understand and find the truth of which you seek.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you, my friend.
I watched that clip this morning, just before I watched the other video…
Thanks anyway Michael..for replying etc…
I still cannot accept that catholicism is anything like being Christian at all.
Im going to have a look at some of your other video’s as well..soon..
Here at altruistico I make every reasonable effort to provide truth….. not dogma or indoctrination. I can only point out to those who follow Catholicism the errors I see in their practice and faith. Can I truthfully state that God Himself looks down on Catholics? Of course not.
I, much like yourself, know there to be but “one true church.” Do I advocate it to be Catholicism? No I do not….. Can I therefore acknowledge with certainty then that Protestantism is the one true church? Again, no I can not.
History is lost, or at best distorted, I am afraid. Unless one dedicates oneself to “great and in-depth study” of God/Christ and His teachings “truth is, at best, obscured. It is, I am afraid, a cumbersome dedication of one’s being.
We do, however, know some basic and sustainable truths which guide us. These are found within the word of God. Yes, the bible. Seek first the Kingdom of God; Love the Lord thy God with all of your heart, mind, body, strength and soul; Love your neighbor as yourself; Obey the word of God and keep His Commandments.
Those are the basics…. no making of a sign of the cross; no Hail Mary’s or worshipping of the Saints required…. Most important, perhaps, remember always Christ died for you, He became the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption; He arose on the 3rd day and is seated at the Right Hand of the Father and will come again……
I tell you, my friend, it is not in the least important that you focus on what the Catholics are doing… your focus, as it is my own, is to follow the Word of God and make yourself presentable before Almighty God.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you always.
