It is rare when I become politically active. I feel, however, that there is an inherit wrong in such policies as these by corporate America. I especially do not want these types of policies entering our school systems or public gathering places such as public swimming pools and beaches. Target’s store policy endangers women and children by allowing men to frequent women’s facilities.

Thank you, Michael. I think, as most Christians will, that this of a horrendous move on the part of Corporate America. This mentality needs to be eradicated.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you and yours. And, may He again shine his Face upon our broken America.

There is a long list of companies who are doing similar things. It is frustrating to see. Not to worry though. Our God is a mighty God.

Yes, Michael, I am aware of this and the State of North Carolina has sparked a very controversial issue. I think too, it is equally controversial that Christians set back and await God to intervene when we ourselves are His spokesmen, and women, here on earth. I have repeatedly commented that Christians in America are the “Church of Laodicea”. Running neither hot nor cold. I emphasize this with the fact that husbands and fathers are to be the spiritual leaders within the home and that often leads us to take the matter outside of the home in spiritually safeguarding our families.
I am reminded of a message in the Bible accounting for Israel’s victory in Exodus 17:11. “As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.” [10] Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. [11] So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed. [12] But Moses’ hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. Thus his hands were steady until the sun set.…
Michael, we can not always set back and await God’s intervention when God is calling us, as Christians’, to do His will. When we become complacent God becomes complacent… and He awaits to see if we are going to make a Stand For Him. We should all take a lesson from Aaron and Hur and support what is right in the eyes of God.
Thank you, Michael, for your comment. It is greatly appreciated.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you and yours.
Yours in Christ;
Michael

Why do you think transgender people are sexual predators? They are harassed in public bathrooms, no matter to which one they go. Imagine your own life if you are dragged out of any public bathroom by security with your pants down just because of the way you look. Better sign a petition to build unisex single-stall bathrooms in all public places just like they have wheelchair ramps. Watch this TED video to understand how much suffering these bathroom laws cause.

To answer your opening question: “Why do ‘you’ think transgender people are sexual predators?” I have not said “transgender people are (all) sexual predators. In fact, the article itself does not say anything remotely close to your statement. In summation of the article the author states the “propensity for sexual predators to gain access to victims is greatly increased through passage of such bills.” The article also gives factual cases for which makes this fear real.
How do you distinguish between a true transgender person, entering a public facility designated for a specific gender, from a sexual predator whose intension is to victimize persons of the opposite sex? The answer is specific in this regard. We can not, on appearance alone, distinguish one’s intension when entering such facility. After all the article points towards those “pretending to be transgender in order to gain access. Let me point out where the author makes such point vividly clear. “We are referring, of course, to laws and policies (like Target’s) which allow so-called transgendered individuals – that is, males who are so sexually confused they think they are women – to use facilities quite appropriately reserved for females. This opens the door to men who only pretend to be women to enter such facilities for sexually pernicious purposes.
The real problem here is not with transgenderism. The real problem is males who will use policies designed for transgender (people) to gain access to places where females should have the expectation of privacy.
Thus my question is again given to you. “How do you distinguish between a true transgender person, entering a public facility designated for a specific gender, from a sexual predator whose intension is to victimize persons?” Anyone can say “I am this, or I am that” but how do we know until it’s too late?
I wish to thank you for your questions and comments. Both are greatly appreciated.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you and yours always.

I have watched your assigned video and do not normally allow persons to place items as videos upon my comment section. However, in this case I will allow it for general public determination as to it’s creditability.
I have watched the video and I find no true veracity to Ivan Coyote: Why we need gender-neutral bathrooms comments. To me, at first appearance of him, I am wondering why he appears before his audience dressed as a man, of which he is, and speaks on issues of unisex bathrooms only due to “his” feeling of being a transgender and thoughts of himself as a woman. This is not compelling.
Truth be know I am reminiscent of the 1980’s and 1990’s and the homosexuals frequenting “bath houses” in communities as San Francisco, California.
Nor does Ivan Coyote: Why we need gender-neutral bathrooms solve the issue of violence against transgenderism and trans genders. In fact, clear thinking persons might see it as a place where more violence towards them might be imposed due to the isolation and infrequency of users of the unisexual facility. Any person prone to violence against a transgender person would know of the infrequency of usage and the isolated effect of such facility and could take advantage of such a facility to do harm.
In short I believe Mr. Coyote should continue to dress as a man, of which he is, and continue to use male facilities to conduct his personal and private bathroom needs. And quite frankly a sexual predator might view the same rationale for perpetrating sex offenses against women due to the same infrequency of usage and isolation of their victims. Unisex bathrooms are not the solution; it may well be an avenue for continued and additional problems.

Ivan Coyote appears to be a biological female. This is why he (I’ll refer to him based on his appearance) is harassed in men’s and lady’s bathrooms alike.
I’m sure, single-stall unisex facilities will be used very frequently by people who just need more privacy and room. Disabled people, mothers who need space to change their baby’s diaper, fathers who need to take their daughter to the bathroom or mothers who need to do this with a little son. Many places are equipped with such bathrooms – 24hr Fitness gyms, for instance, have separate rooms with a locker, a toilet, and a shower where a disabled or a transgender person can do their business without being stared at.

The best I can say is “women’s restrooms do not have urinals, so men who cross dress or believe they’re a woman will still have to use stalls (anyway). And, “women who cross dress or are transgender won’t be using men’s urinals if frequenting a men’s restroom.” In essence, they might as well continue using the restrooms which are based upon their biological sex at birth. Stopping all of this silliness.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you and yours.

You have not watched the video it have missed the point. Ivan Coyote is a biological female who looks and feels like a man. When she used a bathroom of her biological sex, an old lady smacked her in the face with a purse. She was also dragged out of bathrooms by security guards with her pants down. Yes, she can simply go to a men’s bathroom, but you seem to advocate a law to prohibit this.

I have missed nothing in the video. I fully comprehend Ivan Coyote is a biological female from birth.
Anyone with common sense realizes that anyone dressed as a man, walking into a woman’s restroom, will be confronted. And any person of any moral turpitude will notify someone in authority to have this perpetrator expelled from the facility. Or, as in the case of Ivan Coyote, be confronted by a feisty older woman or law enforcement.
You speak diligently upon the issue of the transgender and their privacy; however, you fail to take into consideration the privacy of those who are biologically entitled to use the appropriate bathroom/dressing room facility. I think you are overlooking the fact that any woman who witnesses a male appearing man walking into a ladies restroom will be alarmed, shocked and become quite fearful for her safety.
It’s time for people who advocate such behavior to get off their “meme” mentality and start thinking in terms of what’s right for everyone (the majority) and stop thinking in terms of “I want special treatment and entitlement”. God created those like Mr. Coyote as He wanted them to be. Not how Mr. Coyote (and others) want to be. And that’s the final word……….
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you.

Perhaps, I agree that laws or corporate policies to explicitly allow men in women’s bathrooms may create disturbing situations. But, perhaps, you might also agree that laws and corporate policies explicitly mandating people to use the bathrooms corresponding to their biological sex will subject women who look like men to harassment. Either of these laws and policies seem to be equally bad. I do believe that mandating unisex single-stall bathrooms in all public places just like they mandate wheelchair ramps and accessible parking spots is the solution. Perhaps, instead of making controversial announcements, Target should, indeed, spend some money and equip their stores with such bathrooms. I can agree with AFA on that:
I don’t see such bathrooms as a “privilege” to anyone because I can see them useful for many other categories of people — disabled or parents with opposite-sex children to name a few. Such bathrooms already exist in many places — Gyms or large malls where they are called “family bathrooms”. It’s just a matter of making them more common.
This issue, if handled wisely, does not really deserve such publicity and outrage.

I believe I can get behind your idea of a “single stall” unisex bathroom/dressing room for public places. I do not see a great deal of difference between what you propose here and restaurants as McDonald’s and Wendy’s where single stall restrooms are made available and having locks on their doors. Assuring safety and privacy.
I also think that corporations need to keep their noses out of the political spectrum and tend to their own business affairs. We have plenty of government already without a new line of “Corporate Politicians” entering the arena. With over a million signatures boycotting “Target;” and, the lost revenue as a result of such boycott, it will teach them [and other corporations] a lesson…… I am certain any lost revenue by Target will far exceed what it would have cost in building two or three additional “unisex” or “private” restroom facilities.
Thank you once again, agrudzinsky, for your comments of which are always appreciated.
God bless.

The law you advocate will not stop perverts from entering the bathrooms of the opposite sex, but it will sure make the life of transgender people miserable. This is reality that they face every day, not just an odd case that makes it to the news.
