About me:
I have come (journeyed) a long and troublesome path. Like many of you I have seen despair, troubles and trials. I have suffered at the hands of others; but mostly I have suffered at my own hand and my own free will. I am now a re-born Christian of non-denominational faith. Serving the one true church, that of Christ Jesus, upon whom the true Church is built. I try to present solutions to an ever-changing world. Showing disparity and conflict as, perhaps, being a means of which we grow and understand all of the above.
I support Israel and the Jewish people because I believe there is a true bonding through the Judeo-Christian belief in the God of Abraham, Isaac and jacob. That through the Blood of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, we have all been brought into the House of God. Though we were Gentile (other nations) we have been delivered. Do not misunderstand. I love all people and pray for each. Whether you are Muslim (Islam), Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist or Agnostic I hold love through Jesus Christ for you and all of your people. I wish all could be saved through Jesus Christ. All are welcome here.
I also try to encourage people to understand the truest form of altruism. The giving of ourselves in unselfish random acts of kindness. Showing concern towards others and their needs. In a fast, ever-changing world, it is sometimes hard to do. I believe there is a connection between the individual acts of selfless altruism and being Christ like. Though you need not be a Christian to be selfless – yet, aren’t the similarities there?

Please take the time to view this video by Stan Moore entitled “The One I’m Dying For” from the song by the Isaac’s with the same name/title. As seen through the eyes of Barabbas. (Barabbas was a criminal who was in prison when Jesus was brought to trial. Pilate offered the people a chance to free one prisoner of their choice, thinking they’d choose Jesus–but they asked for Barabbas’ release instead). It is an awesome and inspiring presentation. To view it now click onto “The One I’m Dying For.”
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and the perfect will of God. Living Sacrifice to God.

Hi Michael, have you ever taken a personality test? My sister got me to take one and it provided really cool insight into the way God made me, you know? I would totally peg you as an INFJ (like me). You should take this test http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp God Bless 🙂 Sierra

Hi, Sierra;
All right…. I took the test as you recommended and I find I am clear off the charts. (Smiling}.
It has listed me as INTP. Not good I fear (Lol). At least from the sounds of it… Since just getting up, and still working on my first cup of coffee, some of the questions didn’t sound appealing as a result. For instance: Would you rather read a good book or attend a party? At this juncture of my daily life neither sounded appealing…. given the hour of the day and my current unawareness of my surroundings and lack of coffee (i.e. I’m not fully awake)(Lol).
I would have myself believe that rather than being moderately “introverted” I consider myself more “spontaneous at life.” And, often my given day is lent towards spontaneity opposed to a general planning. For example: if you were to ask me, Michael, what are your plans for this weekend? My response would be “I haven’t a clue.” It would be an honest and truthful response to your question. Although if I have an appointment, of course, my response would reflect the time and date of such appointment as a reflection of having responsibility.
In part, my spontaneous nature is, like you, how God create me. That coupled with the fact I have been single for so very long. The idea of not having someone with whom to plan events is partial cause for spontaneity I would have myself believe. And perhaps rightly so. In either event I love the fact and idea of getting up and knowing nothing of the day – knowing only that God will lead me, bring me there (wherever) safely and present me with something eye opening and rewarding… And, this has never failed me, Sierra. I have had occasions where I get a itch to just drive…. with no apparent destination in mind – and discover at the end of the journey the most wondrous sights, sounds and discoveries. To such ends that I could not have reasonably planned.
You know, God tells us to witness to all creation (no merely mankind). I have opened my back door and viewed a squirrel setting there. I have spoken to that squirrel how Jesus loves you and has created you just as you are. I have driven many miles, no destination in sight, to come across isolated spots where lakes and trees bound. I have fallen upon the most loveliest of spots only to witness to them their purpose in God’s creation and how wondrously
they were made. Sounds crazy. Don’t it? But without that spontaneity of which God instilled within me – my life would not be the same. And, like you, Sierra, that provides “really cool insight into the way God created me.” And my purpose.
Jung was a masterful psychologist; but he is no match for God and His insight into all His creation…. Jung doesn’t know just how wondrously, and differently, we are all made.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you.
Yours in Christ;
Michael

Every once in awhile I envy people who are single for that reason! It sounds like you live life like an adventure with God. 🙂 I try but most of my waking hours is dominated by my kids, laundry, cooking, etc.
I am definitely introverted. I love people but I need alone time for sure. Most writers are introverts and intuitives.
Very true, we are all wonderfully and fearfully made….

It is good, at least sometimes I think, to just allow oneself to reach out and grasp life – to take a chance with spontaneity. But then too there is much to be said about an orderly and structured life; such as your own.
I normally refer to my life as a “journey.” However, you have more appropriately called it “an adventure.” Truly I find your choice of words, in describing my life, more in line with what it has been – an adventure (with God).. It has been much more than witnessing to squirrels, trees and lakes (smiling). In some ways it parallels the life of Paul. Of whom I have admired greatly. Paul’s life depicts the truest sense of adventure in the form of harms way, pain and suffering and humiliation.
I believe I once said to you that I would not mind someone controlling certain aspects of my life; from time to time. And therefore I see no reason in your being envious of those who are single and hold onto spontaneity. Your “waking hours” may well be dominated by your children and responsibilities. That in no ways means you can’t take sometime to yourself. Nor does it mean that you can not take some time to be dominate in the life of some other. All in keeping yourself, even for a brief time, spontaneous. I think you are correct in saying that you need some alone time periodically. We all do – but too I think we all need some time outside of the normal – outside of the everyday responsibilities and chaos we call our everyday life.
If, then, we are both introverts I can claim I am in good company (smiling). I am not sure how intuitive I am, Sierra, but I believe I sense you need to take a chance with being a bit spontaneous and set yourself on a path of being adventurous. If only periodically…

Michael, I definitely wouldn’t describe my life as ‘orderly or structured’! 🙂
It sounds like God has used the hard things in your life to develop in you a rich faith and gift for teaching the Word.
There is always a trade-off, I suppose. I became a parent at 18 so I’ve never really had much ‘freedom’ you know? But God knows I probably wouldn’t be a good steward of too much free time…
You are totally correct, I need more God-sized adventure in my life 😉
I am praying that God gives you the desires of your heart.

Sierra; I am not sure as to what you mean when you say “I definitely wouldn’t describe my life as ‘orderly or structured?’ It would seem, on the surface anyhow, that you have all that a woman could desire. You have a home, family, those who love you. I can’t imagine what could be missing.
I can not dispute that my life has been hard – but completely blessed. The term “adventure” is a correct usage of describing my life. Denoting an element of risk and hazard. Yet each of the risks and hazards I have faced I have not faced alone – God has been with me every step of the way. Over these years all of this has, as you have so correctly stated, developed into a rich faith. Though all of my short-comings – He has held true to His promises of never leaving me nor forsaking me.
Again you have left me somewhat bewildered in your statement “There is always a trade-off, I suppose.” If I may ask – In what?
I do understand. Becoming a parent, at such a young age, does restrict your time and life. But it doesn’t have to debilitate you from having life, sharing life and living life. I would love helping you find freedom, if briefly every-so-often, Sierra. I think you need it – I think you want it. And, above all – I believe you deserve it. We are friends and I think we can share a great deal together as friends – freeing you from what you believe is your pre-ordained destiny…… freeing you – to be you – and to begin your adventure in life and living. And I do not believe God is going to look down upon you, and frown, for taking some time to yourself – for embarking on an adventure…..
See (smiling) you admit I am correct – that you need some God-sized adventures in your life….. Perhaps we can share an adventure together ! I would like that very much. Thank you, Sierra, for your prayer that He gives me the desires of my heart. Please keep that prayer close to your heart – and I will pray the same for you.
– Michael
