God Bless America

God Bless America is an American patriotic song written by Irving Berlin in 1918 and revised by him in 1938. The later version was recorded by Kate Smith, and became her signature song.

Today is the 15th Anniversary of the assault on the Twin Towers and our American soil by Islamic Terrorist. For all those who gave their lives; and, for all those who risk their lives in order to save others – I dedicate this song to them.

You Raise Me Up

To all of my dearest friends on Word-Press, Face Book and Google+; to my family and friends and to those the world over: I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with great joy and expectations…. May you all know the Peace of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray for you all and for the Peace of Jerusalem.

To my Lord and Savior this day of which we celebrate Your Birth: Thank you Lord for everything and especially for You Raising Me Up…

O Holy Night –

Set to scenes from The Nativity Story… Absolutely beautifully done!!!  Sung by Josh Groban.

…a Christmas classic…

Bing Crosby had an annual Christmas TV special; this was recorded on 11 Sept. 1977 for the show which would be broadcast that year: ‘Bing Crosby’s Merrie Olde Christmas.’

From wiki: The pair exchanged dialogue about what they do for Christmas before singing “Little Drummer Boy” with a new counterpoint with original lyrics written for the special, “Peace on Earth.”

Crosby died on October 14, just over a month after recording the special. In the U.S., the show aired on 30 November 1977 on CBS.

Celine Dion – brings a very strong and meaningful message in her “So This is Christmas”. Christ came so that everyone should have peace and joy – so that we might love our neighbors; whether black, white, yellow or red…  and whether you are Christian, Muslim, Jew or atheist – Whatever your nationality or origin – From my home to yours… I offer you  a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year……

You Raise Me Up !

I am truly proud to present one of the youngest and most talented Sapranos of today. Her name is Elena House and her voice is that of an angel. I encourage everyone to take but a moment to listen to her sing, “You Raise Me Up.”  I know you will not regret it.

A Song of Praise for the Lord’s Faithfulness to His People

A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

Psalms 100

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!

Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.

Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[a] We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
