Auschwitz was the most notorious extermination camp in Poland during World War II. Josef Mengele, a physician at Auschwitz, directed and participated in atrocious experiments involving adults and children. The experiments were many and included drug testing, tolerance to heat and cold, amputations and other merciless surgeries. The full extent of his inhumane reign of horror is unknown. Survivors of Mengele’s cruel and inhumane experiments were most often killed and disposed of in an equally cruel and horrid fashion.
Today there is another Josef Mengele at work in the world. This Mengele lives in the United States and elsewhere, wears a modern surgical gown, is a father or mother, and often revered in the community by those who share common ideologies, such as “free choice.” These politically correct elitists promote “rights for women” while denying the rights of the unborn innocent. They view themselves as medical professionals while dismissing their oath to protect and save lives. Some even call themselves Christian while serving faithfully in church as deacons, ushers, and teachers. Unborn children, who perish at the hand of these brutal mongrels, are guilty of nothing more than being unwanted. For that, they are sacrificed on the “altar of convenience.” The spirit of Mengele is alive and well in an entourage of godless souls who blink not at death and murder without pang of guilt.
Abortion Facts: Holocaust in America
One young woman grieved immensely after walking away from a death clinic in Illinois. She said, “I cried! I remember looking at the sky, wondering what God thought of me… I wanted to go back to the clinic and pull my baby out of that dumpster…but his lifeless body would forever be still… If only I could live that day over again.”
Since passage of Role v. Wade, unborn millions have been flush down toilets, cremated, and discarded in landfills. There are no flowers, no funerals and no last words of celebration for these little ones. There are no mourners, no obituaries, and no head stones to remember their brief time on earth. They have no name, no birthdate, and no record of ever existing. A recent analysis from the National Right to Life Committee estimates fifty-two million unborn children have been ruthlessly murdered since that fateful legislation enacted nearly fifty years ago. Today, the number of brutal abortions is approaching ten times that of the Jewish holocaust.
A few years ago, I visited the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC. Upon leaving, I was awash in feelings about how men could reason and then justify such horror. The United States (a nation known for upholding human rights) has methodically exterminated thousands of children every day for the last fifty-years. How is our “holocaust of innocent lives” any different from those taken by Josef Mengele and the murderous Third Reich? If God did not withhold His wrath on Mengele and Nazi Germany, then what is to stop God from unleashing his wrath on the United States?
Abortion Facts: What does the Bible Say?
David the inspired psalmist wrote, “For You formed my inward parts…You covered me in my mother’s womb… for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret…Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed… And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them (Psalm 139:13-16). From these verses there should be no question about when life begins, God’s involvement in that life, and the number of days laid out for you and me. God’s involvement in life begins at the moment of conception when we are yet unformed.
